Alluzience is a toxin and a prescription-only medicine indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (vertical lines between the eyebrows) in adult patients under 65 years when the severity of these lines has an important psychological impact on the patient.
Mode of Action:
Botulinum toxin type A is a muscle relaxant that temporarily weakens muscle activity. After injection of Alluzience, the botulinum toxin type A works by blocking the transport of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine across the neuromuscular junction, located between the nerve end and the muscle fibre. The action results in stopping the contraction of the targeted muscles.
Contraindications of Alluzience:
– Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients
– Presence of infection at the proposed injection sites
– Presence of myasthenia gravis, Eaton Lambert Syndrome or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Storage:
Store in refrigerator 2-8°C.
