Timolol 0.5% Eye Drops Solution (5ml) contains timolol maleate equivalent to 0.5% w/v timolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker that lowers intraocular pressure by reducing the production of aqueous humour within the eye.
It is indicated for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma, ocular hypertension, and other conditions associated with raised intraocular pressure. By lowering IOP, Timolol helps reduce the risk of optic nerve damage and vision loss.
The sterile ophthalmic solution is supplied in a 5ml multidose bottle for topical ocular administration. It may be used alone or in combination with other glaucoma medications where additional pressure reduction is required.
